Dent Moses is pleased to announce that James Moody was appointed to serve as Chair of the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants (ASCPA) for a one-year term that began in June 2021.

The ASCPA is the statewide, professional membership organization representing over 6,000 Alabama CPAs in public practice, industry, government, and education.

James has previously served the ASCPA for four years with the Birmingham Chapter, three years on the Board of Directors, served as Chair-Elect for the past year.

As Chair, James will be responsible for leading the Board in its role to provide oversight and governance to the ASCPA staff. James will join other Alabama representatives at national AICPA events and will travel throughout the state to discuss professional issues with Alabama CPAs.
