Dent Moses is pleased to announce that James Moody has been appointed to serve as Chair of the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants (ASCPA) for a one-year term beginning in June 2021.
The ASCPA is the statewide, professional membership organization representing over 6,000 Alabama CPAs in public practice, industry, government, and education.
On being appointed as Chair-Elect Moody commented, “I am humbled to be nominated and elected by my peers within the CPA community, and I’m honored to serve as Chair-Elect of the ASCPA,”
Moody has previously served the ASCPA for four years with the Birmingham Chapter, three years on the Board of Directors, and is currently serving as Chair-Elect.
“The ASCPA has an incredible staff that works tirelessly every day to enhance, sustain, educate, advocate, and cultivate the accounting profession in Alabama. The Board of Directors includes many of the local leaders and experts in our profession, and I am grateful to serve together with each one of them,” Moody stated.
