Don’t Forget – July 15th Deadline
The 15th of July is not normally a big day on the tax calendar, but this year has been anything but normal.
All income tax filings and payments ordinarily scheduled between mid-April and mid-June have been delayed until July 15th. This means that any remaining taxes owed for 2019 as well as 2020 taxes on income earned through the end of May are due on that day.
Individual taxpayers may extend the filing deadline for their 2019 returns until October 15th. Remember though that an extension to file is not an extension to pay. Any 2019 taxes unpaid after July 15th will be subject to interest and penalty.
If you have any questions about what needs to be filed or paid in advance of this deadline, please contact our office.
